Attention CDT Candidates!
Barbara Faulwetter, RA, CCS, LEED AP would like to help you prepare for the CDT Exam. She is providing an online exam prep tutorial, beginning Tuesday, July 13, starting at 5:30 pm and lasting for 90 minutes, every Tuesday through November 2nd, 2021. (i.e. 17 weeks in total). There’s no charge, she feels that the registration fee and cost of study materials are hefty enough.
The next Exam Cycle milestones are as shown below:

ARTICLE 1 NAME
1.1 The name of this organization is "THE PHOENIX CHAPTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS INSTITUTE, INC.", hereinafter referred to as the Chapter; said chapter being an affiliate chapter of The Construction Specifications Institute. Inc., a Maryland not for-profit corporation hereinafter referred to as the "Institute".
1.2 The Chapter shall be affiliated with a region of the Construction Specifications Institute. Regions are areas geographically designated by the Institute Board. Currently the Chapter is affiliated with the Southwest Region hereinafter referred to as the “Region.”

It's often been said that the single most important element of CSI is its people—you, and this network of friends and colleagues across the country that contribute to each other's personal and professional success. Please understand our community is something you can count on now more than ever.
As we all wonder what comes next and how we will find our way forward, I assure you that the deep ties and genuine friendships within the construction industry community are available as a resource on any issue. It is increasingly clear that while we are more connected through technology, we can still feel more isolated and distant from each other while facing the virus' impact on our daily lives and the economy.
Future Cities Event Recap
A big thank you to all the volunteers from FM Solutions, and the CSI Phoenix Chapter who participated in judging the Future Cities Arizona competition for middle schools. In this event, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students are given a challenge to create a city of the future. This year's challenge was providing their city with fresh water. Our volunteers pre-viewed the project models during the week at the Burton Barr Library, then sacrificed their Saturday morning to join me in judging their presentations at 7:30 AM in Queen Creek.

CONSTRUCT 2019 Recap
The Construction Specification Institute (CSI) hosts their annual meeting in conjunction with CONSTRUCT. This is an opportunity for CSI members to meet face-to-face with other members and industry professionals in a world that is increasingly virtual. There are several benefits to attending CONSTRUCT. It is a place to look someone in the eye, shake hands, trade business cards, learn from others and advance your career.
This show is a microcosm of what it is like to be a CSI member. CSI is the only organization that brings together architects, specifiers, contract administrators, product representatives, manufacturers, engineers, contractors facility managers, owners and more.
