We are thrilled to announce that CSI will now be an AIA CEU provider. This opens every chapter to the CEU program starting in 2019. This will represent a considerable cost savings to Chapters, due to recent program provider cost increases implemented by AIA. Several chapters are currently participating as a test group. Be on the lookout for more information soon.
CSI has engaged chapter-relations consultant Cynthia D'Amour to deliver focused leadership training through the Dynamic Chapter Program. With over 50 participants registered, the program is off to a great start. Chapter teams will learn how to plan and present programs that will entice greater attendance, grow membership, and encourage volunteers. This effort is one of the best things that Institute has done directly to benefit Chapters – I greatly encourage everyone to participate soon!
PS: Be on the lookout for another website refresh this Spring.
Membership cards are back! Look for your new physical member card and welcome letters to all new and renewing members beginning this month.
CSI's new Chief Learning Officer, Tracy Petrillo, is working on the upcoming Faculty Guide for CDT Prep, expected out by June 2019. This document is an outgrowth of the BEprep program, which helps community college faculty align curriculum to the CDT exam and reimburses students for the exam cost. CSI completed our first Summer Institute for the BEprep program last May, when ten community college faculty from around the country gathered at the University of Chicago for a week of learning and sharing.
The next Master Specifiers Retreat is at Loews Coronado Bay Resort in Coronado, CA to be held from January 31 to February 3, 2019. Specifier registration is open at: https://www.csiresources.org/msretreat/home
