Accountability and Delivery Methods
Wouldn't you think, just a little touch of personal accountability, we could have avoided a good chunk of this financial cluster of a problem that is affecting every single one of us. So what do think? Don't you think it is about time that CSI truly starts to embrace the various construction delivery mechanisms exercised in today's markets? And discover how CSI can begin to integrate itself within each method to improve the process.
First, we need to understand each method and there purpose. So, which method will deliver the highest quality project at the lowest cost and earliest time? This is the single most important question in many owners' minds. These factors are often the deciding factors in choosing between project delivery approaches. As shown below, each core and emerging project delivery approach offers advantages and disadvantages when it comes to project cost, time, and quality.

There is no one perfect project delivery approach. Each firm that utilizes one or another method will tell you many reasons why theirs is the best. There is no question, the selection of an approach is a complex task involving many important decisions. All parties involved need to understand the process, execute the correct protocol and be accountable. The choice of project delivery method you make early at the project's inception will be one of the most important in determining how successfully it is completed.
